  1. Hi Jean - there are some good points in this video (I finally got around to watching it), but it assumes that companies have agreed to behave ethically in their advertising. Manufactoring demand is what they do - this is with everything. At the end of the day, a person can't claim a commercial made them do something unless they are under the age of 12.

    Also, companies do not have an obligation to the enviornment. They have an obligation to their shareholders, so really it's consumers using their wallets to modify the corporation's behavior.

    but wouldn't marketing have a way to manipulate the consummers to align the opinions to the corporations?
