This is a picture of a boat crossing the oil spill in the West Bay, on the west side of the southwest pass on the Mississippi river.

    Unfortunately, people are tired to hearing about the BP oil spill. Due to this, ratings covering the episode dropped and media attention went elsewhere. It doesn't make it right or mean it's not gone away, but by and large only government regulation and due diligence (did I just write that in the same sentence) is the only thing that will take care of it now.

  2. well chris, but don't you find it so sad that no one cares about it after the situation has been "deterred"? i mean, in reality, problems still do exist, and ppl shouldnt stay so blaze about it. i mean....the consequences are immense....
    well i am not saying we can do much about it, but more follow-ups would be nice.....

  3. Yes, I find it very sad :(

    What I really think would be good would be for the US to address the conditions which led to the problem in the first place. Instead, it's all about the short term stuff (which is needed of course) like cleaning the animals etc.
